OncoFlow Assist
Terms of Use
Last updated:
These terms explain who can use OncoFlow Assist, what it does and does not do, and what we ask of everyone who uses it. Please read them together with the Privacy Policy.
OncoFlow Assist is not for emergencies or medical advice. It does not diagnose, recommend or change treatment, and it is not continuously monitored. If you have urgent symptoms, contact your care team directly. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
1. These terms
These Terms of Use apply to the OncoFlow Assist mobile app and web portal. By using OncoFlow Assist you agree to them. In these terms, “OncoFlow Assist”, “we” and “us” refer to the OncoFlow Assist service and the team that operates it, and “your hospital” means the hospital, cancer center or clinic that gave you access.
2. Who can use OncoFlow Assist
- Patients: adults receiving outpatient care at a hospital that offers OncoFlow Assist, who have been invited by that hospital.
- Hospital staff: people their hospital has authorized to use the staff portal.
Access is by invitation only. You cannot create an OncoFlow Assist account yourself. Your invitation is personal: it works only for the email address it was sent to and only once. After you join, you sign in with a one-time code sent to that email address.
3. What OncoFlow Assist does
OncoFlow Assist helps with the practical side of your care, such as:
- understanding the steps of your care journey;
- seeing your appointments and asking to change them;
- finding information your hospital has approved for patients;
- raising practical, financial, transportation or emotional support needs;
- sending messages to your care team and asking for a person to help.
Features depend on what your hospital offers and may differ from one hospital to another.
4. What OncoFlow Assist does not do
- It does not diagnose symptoms or conditions.
- It does not recommend, start, stop or change any treatment or medicine.
- It does not give medical advice and does not replace your doctors, nurses, social workers or patient navigators.
- It is not an emergency service and does not monitor your health.
Messages to your care team are read by people at your hospital during their working hours, and reply times vary. Always follow the instructions of your care team.
5. AI-assisted replies
Replies labelled as coming from OncoFlow Assist are prepared by artificial intelligence from information your hospital has approved and your own care information. They can be incomplete or wrong. Check anything important with your care team, and use “Report this reply” if a reply seems wrong, unsafe or inappropriate. Reporting a reply does not contact your care team; to reach a person, ask for one in the conversation.
6. Your account
- Keep access to your email account secure, because sign-in codes are sent there.
- Do not share your account or sign-in codes with anyone.
- Tell your hospital or us if you think someone else has used your account.
7. Acceptable use
When using OncoFlow Assist, you agree not to:
- send abusive, threatening, harassing, discriminatory or offensive content;
- use OncoFlow Assist for anything unlawful;
- try to access information or accounts that are not yours;
- interfere with, overload, probe or bypass the security of the service, or copy it by automated means;
- copy, modify or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
Please keep messages to your care team about your care and respectful of the people who read them.
8. Your messages
You are responsible for the messages you send. You allow OncoFlow Assist and your hospital to use them to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual property
The OncoFlow Assist software, design and name belong to OncoFlow Assist or its licensors. Information your hospital publishes in OncoFlow Assist belongs to your hospital. We give you a personal, non-transferable permission to use the app for its intended purpose while you have access.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep OncoFlow Assist available and accurate, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance, and features may change. OncoFlow Assist is provided as available. To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors.
11. Suspending or ending access
Your hospital or we may suspend or end access to protect people or the service, if these terms are not followed, or when your hospital stops offering OncoFlow Assist to you. You can stop using OncoFlow Assist at any time; to close your access, contact your hospital or us.
12. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.
13. Changes to these terms
When we update these terms we change the “Last updated” date above. If a change is significant, the app will ask you to review the updated terms before you continue.
14. Contact
For questions about these terms, contact your hospital, or write to us at support@oncoflowassist.com.
